Front cover. See enlargement.

The first of the Pendulum Special Issues of Science & Education, were published in August 2004. This is Vol.13 Nos.4-5 of the journal. The title of the volume is The Pendulum: Scientific, Historical, Philosophical and Educational Perspectives. The second special issue, same title, was published in November (Vol.13 Nos.7-8). The two special issues constitute 450 journal pages.

Springer (formerly Kluwer) published the special issues as a book early in 2005. The book was launched at the IHPST Leeds conference in July. The citation is: Matthews, M.R., Gauld, C.F. & Stinner, A. (eds.): 2005, The Pendulum: Scientific, Historical, Philosophical and Educational Perspectives, Springer, Dordrecht.
